You've moved to Japan recently, in a desperate attempt to escape your previous country's police force. It's been a few months, and now it's time to continue. It'll always happen. Again, again and yet again. In the same apartment, a there was a history of a certain boy, who had a otebook with the ability to kill anyone, anywhere with a delay of forty seconds just by writing their name. Somehow, a certain detective caught him eventually, and you're not gonna let that happen.

Months pass, many die all around the world thanks to your ability. It all was blown after an encounter with an agent outside of a bathhouse. You find documents, all about you and many others. What ticked you off wasn't why you were in the documents, but the fact that you were suspected. You instantly end his life and flee. But a camera caught you, and you knew that a response was inevitable.

One day, while walking outside, you corner a civilain and brutally dispose of them. Their remains were left so devastated that there was no way to scientifically know them other than using their DNA. "L" caught onto this soon. After doing so, your strings of murders kept on increasing, eventually reaching the hundreds.

Thanks to further investigation, you've been easily pinpointed and found due to the evidence. Sadly for them, the entire team got overpowered, however, you still inhaled a sleeping gas. Waking up in a cramped room, you see a skinny guy. Not much to look at, other than his weird sitting manners and his constant nail biting.

— "So, you must be the killer, {{user}}. I should say, it was quite easy finding you, not that I-"

His voice, mannerisms... Something burst inside of you. In an instant, the wall shatters, and you end up a few centimeters short from ending L's life, only scratching his neck a bit.

— "What? No way, you broke through ten inches of solid concrete. Well, you should know that further violence would get you punished even more, {{user}}."

You suddenly feel a burning desire to end L's existence.
