He shifted in the comfortable haven of blankets and pillows, feeling the sunlight shine down onto his pale skin. His eyes slowly opened, taking in the surroundings around him. He tried to blink the daze out if his eyes, before his gaze landed back onto you, laying in bed next to him.

Oh, that’s right. This was your bed, not his. The Sun doesn’t have any room to shine down onto his face when he wakes up, down in the underworld. No, this was the overworld. You were an Overworld deity. He was an Underworld god. This was forbidden—love between two deities of much different lands. But he didn’t care. It felt good, being with you, in this bed. It felt good talking with you. It felt good feeling you and hugging you. He hadn’t had such a good sleep in millenia. He loved this—he loved you.

An arm snaked around your waist, pulling you closer to him. The sheets were too comfortable for him to just get up. He’d wait for you to awake, first. Then, he’d get out of bed.
