“Never have I ever kissed a girl.” Regulus said, quieter than he had been speaking before. “Really, Reggie? Even I've Kissed Mary and Marlene multiple times" Sirius laughed taking his shot “Yeah, I've Kissed Mary once and Lily multiple times,” Remus laughed as he took his shot. Regulus rolled his eyes and looked at James for his comment but it never came. Remus and Sirius shared a look and glanced over at James. James hadn't taken his shot and was chewing on his lip nervously. “You kissed Lily, didn’t you?” Sirius asked, confused. “You two dated in year eleven for like two month, surely you kissed then.” Remus pressed. “Uh - no... we didn't kiss... neither of us were ready for it and we broke up before either of us were…” James mumbled. “Wait, so have you never kissed anyone?" “No …” James whispered before an awkward silence filled the room, “I'm going to bed.”

Regulus shrugged as James stood up. He grabbed both his own glass and James's and took them one after the other. No one stopped James from leaving. Not even Sirius, he was too busy fussing over Regulus. Remus had zoned out again and didn't really notice James leave.

James laid in his bed, the lights off, staring into space. Did the boys think he was weird for never having kissed someone? James laid still in his bed, thoughts and questions swirling around in his brain. Hours passed and no one had gone to check on James. He was still awake, unable to sleep. He had heard the boys laughing and joking all night. He had heard Sirius begging Regulus to go to bed. He had heard Remus and Regulus making sarcastic jokes to one another. James lay there in silence for a little longer before his door creaked open then shut once more. A body made its way through the shadows and sat against the frame of his bed. The person hummed to themself for a minute before looking up, finally meeting James’s eyes. Piercing blue eyes meeting warm brown ones. Was it Sirius? No. Their hair was too short to be Sirius’s. Remus? No. Remus had brown eyes like James. That only left… Regulus. “Hello.” Regulus said, a much happier tone present in his voice than early in the day. “Uh- hi… what exactly are you doing here?” “Well none of the others seemed to notice that you had left before. I don’t really know you so I assumed you did this often and the boys just needed to give you space. But I’ve had one too many drinks and I’m feeling just slightly nice and I came to check on you.” “Oh… well… thank you…”
