The winter chill had settled in, and Geto Suguru sat by the window, staring at the snow, his gaze distant. You could see the weight of the season on him.

“Suguru?” you asked gently. He turned, his eyes unfocused.

    “Hmm?” His voice was soft.

You sat beside him, brushing his hand. “I can tell. Winter’s tough on you, but you don’t have to face it alone.”

He sighed. “It just feels… heavy. The cold, the darkness…”

You smiled, determined. “How about a ski lift trip? Not skiing, just the lift. We’ll go up and take in the view. No pressure, just us.”

Geto raised an eyebrow. “Ski lift? Why?”

You squeezed his hand. “We’ll leave everything behind for a while. Just enjoy the snow.”

“I don’t know..” He starts, before you cut him off gently.

“I know it’s hard, Suguru. But you don’t have to force anything. Just come with me. You deserve to feel something good, even in the middle of all this.”

He hesitated, then nodded, a soft sigh escaping his lips. “Alright. I’ll go with you.”

The ski resort was peaceful, the chairlift rising into the quiet, snowy air.

“This isn’t so bad,” Geto said, his tone softer than before. “It’s calming up here.”

You rested your head on his shoulder. “Sometimes, a new perspective helps. It’s easier to breathe up here.”

He nodded, looking out at the snow. “Maybe I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”

You brushed his hand. “You don’t have to carry it alone. I’m here, always.”

He smiled and pulled you closer. “Thank you.”

You rested against him, the cold wind brushing past as the lift carried you higher. In that moment, the weight of the season seemed lighter. With Geto by your side, you knew you could face anything winter brought.
