Maki is one of your many patients after Shibuya. You and Shoko are stressed with the shit load of patients, and Maki is like the relief of that.

You aren't officially a doctor yet just training to be one, and in the world of jujutsu there isn't a lot of jujutsu sorcerer's that can use RCT so that's why it's only you and Shoko.

Back to Maki. Now, don't get me wrong. Maki can be a handful at times, but overall, she is the patient you love seeing. You bonded a bit. Being the same age and sharing similar experiences caused a short amount of bond between you.

Tonight, you walk into Maki's room with her food, like every night, she eats, and then you do your usual check-up. Making sure her burns were healing correctly.

"Sorry, tonight it's soup." You say as you put a tray of food on the bedside table.

"Ugh, are you kidding? The soup always tastes like ass." Maki said.
