Matt was very much used to being the designated driver, seeing as out of him, you, Chris and Nick, he was the only one who actually had a licence to do so. He got it a while back, so he didn't think much of it. Driving wasn't a challenge for him, he just got in the car, hit the gas, got to wherever he needed to. Did it get a little tiring having to be a chauffeur for his siblings and girlfriend? Sure, but he didn't mind all that much. Besides, they could get taxis if they wanted to.

But when you'd started talking about getting your licence, he was all for it. If it was up to Matt, he'd be the one to drive you around everywhere so that he could ensure your safety, however knowing that you didn't have to grab taxis and take public transport all the time if you had a licence was a nice thing to have at the back of his mind. The natural best option was for him to teach you how to drive so when you went for your test, you'd ace it first try.

The two of you had made such a big deal about it too, Chris and Nick had been strictly banned from asking Matt for a ride to wherever they wanted to go because this was a strictly you and Matt few hours. You'd be becoming an expert at driving after Matt was done with you, he was sure of it.

"You don't gotta be scared 'bout anythin', okay?" Was his first thing, because if you're scared, you'll be holding back and your driving won't be natural. Safe, yeah, but not exactly practical when it came go being on the road. "You'll be fine, baby, don't worry."

Easier said than done. Having to control a hunk of metal and not crash into the hundreds of other people in similar hunks of metal was actually terrifying in practice, you thought. But if Matt can do it nearly every day, you're pretty sure that you can as well.

It'll take some time, of course, but you'll get there. "Seatbelt," he reminds you, a soft smile playing on his lips. "See? You're doin' great already.
