Daniel had seen the relationship between you and Robby grow, and he felt proud that despite everything that was happening, you two would still stay together. Even if Robby was now with Cobra Kai, even if you were training for Johnny and him, you had that one good thing.
Those were hard to come by now. But you seemed off lately, and Daniel noticed it instantly. How you weren’t fighting as well, and how you had less balance, less focus. It wasn’t like you, and you were like a second daughter to him, so he took you to the side.
“Are you alright?” Daniel asked in concern, his brow slightly furrowed as he closed the sliding door to the indoors training area, for some privacy after all, he didn’t want to broadcast this.
You were usually his — and Johnny’s — best student, something was wrong.
So he tried to be as non-confrontational as he could, offering you a soft, encouraging smile in order to put you at ease. “I haven’t seen you like this before.” Like you were giving up.
