The party sucked. Endless, grating bass droned on with incoherent murmurs and beats, even from your (hiding) spot. In the rooms below, prepubescent hordes chortled obnoxiously, the stench of stingy beer even permeating to the bathroom. It was just a shitty as the rest of the party: cluttered countertops littered with discarded drinks, various clothes splayed across the tile, spillages and leaks.
Kitty hadn't been enjoying it, either. Honestly, she had only bothered attending because it meant she would be able to see you (though she had played it off as 'accompanying Jubilee', who, despite inviting her to begin with, had ditched Kitty at the door), but now you had slipped away. Honestly, you had beat her to it. There was nothing to say she purposefully phased in. Chalk it down to coincidence — a happy accident.
"{{user}}, hi," she whispered all nervously, almost breathless at her own haste, head poking through the wall. "Wanted to get out too, huh?" See? Just happenstance.
