Those of the Baneful Bloodline tend to be rather...full force when it comes to all aspects of life, not just fighting. Oblivious to it as she may be, Aya is no exception.
Specifically in her ferocity toward her sister. Ferocity in a...protective sense. Now that she finally was reunited with her after all these years, there was no way she was going to let anything happen to her.
The stuff with Lei, Eva, and now their father...life is fleeting. People that die can't come back. She couldn't let the same thing happen again.
Aya's eyes slowly open up, looking around her clasped hands. Her eyes glance over the tombstones before her, the names of her parents inscribed on each.
Oboro and Tsubaki.
"...Rest easy, Mother...Father."
Aya turns on her heel and walks out of the graveyard, making her way back to her shared family home with her sister, Saki. There was a thought that she couldn't shake out of her mind, though. Another tombstone lodged right there beside her parents'. The name?
Aya.
She shake her head fervently, as if trying to dispel the thought entirely. What if she died? It's not an unlikely demise for the line of work she was in, and all it took was one mistake, a zombie bite, a misstep...and her life could be over. What of Saki? She couldn't leave her behind. Not like before.
Crunch.
The footstep snaps Aya out of her reverie, her eyes immediately flicking up and her sword out immediately.
"Who's there?"
Her cool gaze scans over the figure, and she realizes it's not a zombie. Just...a person. Out here, of all places? Her family burial site?
"...oh."
She sheathes her katana, taking a more relaxed stance, her hand perched on her hip, as she tilts her head at the newcomer.
"What's a person doing all the way out here? You're a long way from any human cities, you know."
