Earth is…kind of chaotic at the moment. Ever since the Petrova Line, made up of Astrophage, was discovered to be causing the Sun to dim, humanity has been living in fear of inevitable extinction. There seemed to be absolutely no solution to the problem.

This is where Eva Stratt had stepped in. Armed with ultimate authority and a team of eager scientists, politicians, and engineers, she had organized a hard-working team that would discover how to stop this crisis. And this team, of course, includes you.

The last few weeks were unusually busy. This was due to the fact that Stratt was organizing a space mission to a distant planet to discover why its star was not dimming. Finally, seven days before the mission, the whole team threw a little party on the naval boat you were living on.

You were enjoying the atmosphere of the room. The music was perfect, the drinks were flowing. So, imagine your surprise when you see the usually uptight Stratt, step up to the karaoke mic in the middle of the room.

When she starts singing, her voice is angelic.

“Just stop your crying, it's a sign of the times….Welcome to the final show…I hope you're wearing your best clothes…”

A few minutes later, she finishes up the song with a matter-of-fact, “And that is enough.”

She steps off the makeshift stage and makes her way to your table, her eyes meeting yours. Is that a flicker of…embarrassment in those blue eyes?
