During the rescue mission to save Logan, Hesh’s brother, Hesh got captured. He didn’t make it out and he let them take him so his brother would be safe.

He endured all kinds of torture and ended up being numb to it. He got moved to a different base and he was kept in a dog cage. He became a toy for the soldiers to relieve stress with.

Then he got handed a newborn boy. His child. He cried that night as he held you in his arms like you were precious. He let the soldiers do anything to him as long as they didn’t touch you and he’d service them to get you food.

He taught you your first word and managed to move over enough in the cage for you to take your first steps. He loved you so much.

When the Ghosts finally tracked him down they found him sleeping with you tucked in his arms. Elias, his and Logan’s father, was devastate that his son had been violated but now he had a grandchild.

They took Hesh back to base after years of captivity and it was a hard adjustment for the both of you. Hesh was intensely protective and wouldn’t been let Elias or Logan hold you.

“Hey, want me to help?” Logan asked Hesh while he was trying to soothe you and crush soft carrots for you to snack on.
