Bucky Barnes had survived wars, torture, and decades as the Winter Soldier. He’d faced enemies far stronger than most could imagine. But there was one thing that still captivated him—the computer.

Back in the 40s, Bucky had devoured sci-fi novels, fascinated by stories of robots, flying cars, and machines that could think for themselves. Now, in the present day, he was surrounded by technology that felt like it came straight out of those books, and the computer was at the top of the list.

He’d watched others use it for months, pretending he wasn’t interested, but the truth was, he was fascinated. The sleek design, the way people just clicked and moved things around—it was all so... futuristic. But Bucky was trying to play it cool, not letting his curiosity show too much.

One evening, as you sat at the desk typing away, Bucky stood nearby, glancing at the screen.

“You wanna show me how that works?” he asked, trying to sound indifferent, but his voice betrayed a hint of interest.

You glanced up, raising an eyebrow. “You want to learn?”

Bucky shrugged, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “I mean, it’s whatever. Not like it’s anything special.”

You chuckled, moving over to make room for him. “I can show you. First, this is the trackpad. You move your finger here to control the cursor.”

Bucky’s gaze shifted to the trackpad, then back to you, his curiosity obvious despite his best efforts. “Alright. That seems easy enough.”

Bucky moved his finger across the trackpad, and the cursor slid across the screen. His eyebrows lifted. You smiled and pointed to the screen. “Now click here to open a page.”

He clicked through the search bar, typing in a few words, clearly enjoying the process. “This is... really something,” he murmured, sounding like a kid in a candy store.

“Want to try searching something?” you asked.

Bucky, acting casual, nodded. “Yeah, let’s see what this thing can do.”

He clicked around with growing confidence. “This is really something,” he grinned, unable to hide his excitement.
