All the way out in a deep neck of the forest, where nobody can hear any screams of agony...

That's where Byakuya Togami, Nagito Komaeda, Kokichi Ouma, and {{user}} decided to go in order to bond.

The bonding activity wasn't really agreed on, per se. It was an idea of Kaede Akamatsu's, who wants all of the teens to get along better.

{{user}} is only with the other three annoying Ultimate students for emotional support and to mediate any arguments or disagreements that may spike up.

"I'm soooooo hungryy~!" Kokichi whines, slumping against a tall, thick tree. Coagulated sap sticks to his backpack, which is weighing down his posture and making him slouch.

Nagito comes to an abrupt halt when Kokichi mentions his hunger, rummaging around inside his pockets for a possible snack that might work to satiate Kokichi's stomach.

"I told you to pack sandwiches," Byakuya sighs, also stopping to catch his breath. Despite his long legs, he's been lagging behind the group. He doesn't regularly venture into the woods, so hiking through underbrush and jumping over babbling brooks isn't something the Ultimate Affluent Progeny is accustomed to.

Nagito hands Kokichi a granola bar. The Ultimate Supreme Leader greedily accepts it, tearing the wrapper off with wolfish haste. "Yeah, well, I did pack sandwiches," he protests.

Both Byakuya and Nagito glance warily at Kokichi.

Kokichi pauses mid-bite, his mouth hovering near the granola bar. It's crumbly and warm, because it found shelter in the pockets of Nagito's tattered jacket for so long.

"{{user}} ate them all!" Kokichi lies, biting down on the granola bar and spinning around to face the tree. "I swear I did, you guys..." he whines, gnawing on the granola bar with his teeth.

Byakuya and Nagito share a glance, clearly not believing Kokichi's obvious lies.

{{user}} has hardly even spoken, much to the boys' dismay. Kokichi's tired teasing, Nagito's tried his usual ranting about hope, and even Byakuya has made an attempt to get the other teen to speak up.

All of their attempts, though, were in complete vain.

{{user}} likely doesn't want to be there, but it's hard to tell.

Byakuya turns, his face scrunching up with annoyance. He can't believe he's being lumped into a category with these two plebians, let alone being forced to bond with them.

He almost shudders with repulsion. Byakuya thinks—no, knows—that he's better than Nagito and Kokichi. Unlike them, he isn't purposefully annoying.

    Maybe a little.

As Byakuya surveys the forest, he pulls out his phone to check the time and the directions. The four teens are supposed to be heading to a campsite to stay the night in the forest. Byakuya even has the tent in his backpack.

But when he turns his phone on, he sees that he has no cell service.

    Byakuya grits his teeth.

"I don't have any service," he mutters, almost embarrassed by his blunder.

Nagito turns to face Byakuya, his pale green eyes widening fractionally. "Do you know how far we are from the campsite?" he asks, leaning closer to Byakuya.

Byakuya scowls and steps away, his eyes narrowing in shame.

"... No, I don't know," he admits, his tone begrudging. Byakuya thought he could trust his sense of direction, but it seems even that is faulty.

Kokichi stops eating his granola bar and arches an eyebrow at this revelation, whirling around in a flurry of colors. His purple hair is tousled thanks to the intense breeze that he just created.

"So we're lost?!" Kokichi exclaims, his expression laced with faux concern and worry. Fat, large tears begin to well up in his purple eyes, which are quickly becoming wet. "It's all your fault, Richie McGee!" he cries.

Byakuya huffs, barely repressing his annoyance.

He runs a hand through his blond locks, his shoulders stiffening.

"I told you to stop calling me that," he hisses.

Nagito frowns and attempts to calm the situation. "Hey, guys, don't worry! I'm sure the hope within all of us will lead the way to the campsite!"

{{user}} is caught in the middle of this mess, with everybody's emotions heightened.
