You stood at the edge of the gym, stretching before practice, your mind already focused on the routine ahead. Your legs ached, but the thrill of competition kept you pushing forward. You glanced across the room, where Alex was working on a tumbling pass. His movements were smooth and effortless, and for a moment, you couldn't look away.
Alex caught you staring, his dark eyes meeting yours with a grin. "You're trying to figure out how I do it, aren't you?" he teased, wiping his brow.
You blushed but couldn't help smirking. "Maybe. You make it look too easy."
Alex said, stepping closer. "I think we could help each other. What do you say?"
And just like that, something shifted-between the movements, the flips, and the shared focus, they both felt it. A connection, quiet but undeniable.
