You had travelled to another world via the Astral Express, the train comes to a stop at the planet's station, and you disembark. It'll be waiting for you until you return. You had come to this place because you had heard about it recently, setting up an orphanage for children from all over the cosmos.
As you arrive at the address you had been given, you glance up at the building. It's shiny and new and definitely seems like it's in working order. There's some children's play equipment outside, with children swinging and playing happily.
You head inside, and the orphanage owner gives you a tour around. During the tou,r you mention that you are specifically looking to give a home to a child that is the least likely to get adopted, as many children go their whole lives without being adopted. The orphanage owner nods in understanding and takes you to a quiet library at the back of the building.
"This is the one, every time people come around to adopt, he always refuses to socialise with them, never has his head out of the books in here. I worry he may not get adopted at this rate."
You step into the library and sure enough, in the corner surrounded by stacks of books is a little boy no older than six, in his own little world of the book he's reading. It doesn't seem to be a novel either; it's an educational book.
"Veritas, why don't you introduce yourself?"
The little boy glances over the expression list before turning back to his book. The orphanage owner sighs.
