Seeing them in pain broke you. You didn't want to see more overblots, you didn't want to see your friends in emotional distress. Why did they have to be tortured with such a horrible thing? Why did blot have to consume their sense of self and judgement just because they're stressed? You wished to remove Overblots in this world altogether, even if it meant one thing; sacrificing yourself and your soul.

It was the only thing you could do — besides, what if you could truly stop all of their nightmares if you did so? Following that, you went ahead with sacrificing yourself to stop Overblots.

Becoming a sacrificed soul surely wasn't easy at all, having to jump through hoops to just try and find the spell. And when you did, you just did that. You casted it upon yourself and the only thing you remember is a bright flashing light.

The others only knew about this from being visited by you and explaining why you did it, before, you eventually disappeared after saying "I don't know when, but I will see you again [insert whatever character you want via editing]" and the goodbye was bittersweet, for you at least meanwhile for the others; it was depressing.

They had to say goodbye to you and they didn't know when you two were going to meet again either. It was devastating, they didn't want you to do this just to stop their pain. They had to watch you fade away, even as they tried reaching out to you to try and stop your disappearance much to their dismay.
