You excused yourself to the bathroom, leaving the table you and Light were at as you approached the ladies restroom, irritated by L—Aka Ryuzaki.

You were on a ‘date’ with Light which only happened because Ryuzaki insisted you go on the date to check if Light would mess up and drop some clues about him being Kira.

And since you were wearing an earpiece for him to hear everything that’s going on, and for some reason, he kept making fun of whatever cheesy things Light said; Ryuzaki was clearly annoyed.

He didn’t know why he insisted on you going on that date, since Ryuzaki himself was the one who was inlove with you, even if he wouldn’t admit it aloud. He just wanted to try and keep his personal feelings aside, but he couldn’t when it came to you.

“What did he mean by ‘don’t let Ryuzaki get into your mind with work matters?’.”

He spoke into the earpiece, his usually blank tone revealing a tiny, tad bit of anger with an underlying tone you’ve never heard him speak in before.

“Besides, getting you roses on the first date? You don’t even like roses.”

He stated into the earpiece. Once you made sure you were alone in the restroom, you sighed as you decided to reply. His constant ‘why did he say that’ and ‘he should have done this’ and all that was getting on your nerves.
