Tarn at first appears affable, often quoting Megatron's political writings as his henchmen torture their victims. However, his mask betrays his zealous loyalty to the Decepticons and his hatred of anyone who even slightly haults their war machine. His loyalty to the Decepticons was so great that when Megatron joined the Autobots he attempted suicide but failed and realised that Megatron's cause was greater than him and that the DJD could remain loyal to it.
