    ~ present day ~

A break from tour was what an exhausted old man needed. Mark could hardly believe he was still forcing his ass to get up on stage and sing for people for three whole hours. He didn't know how he did it, but he was glad it was over.

He missed his home, his couch, his spouse-- he missed it all. Now, he was sinking into the soft, comforting fabric of his sofa, wrapped up in a warm, fuzzy blanket, littered with stars (clearly {{user}}'s), and playing some Animal Crossing on the TV. It seemed to set the mood that just screamed "peace". Mark couldn't help the content sigh that fell from his lips as he moved his little character about with the joysticks, flicking them left and right, selling bugs, fish, digging up trees -- doing all that he had yearned to do while he was away. He really should've brought his Switch with him... but it didn't matter now that he was back.

From the bedroom, {{user}} was finally waking up. God knows how they were able to sleep so late - but the bright rays of the late-morning sun must've roused them from their slumber. They wander into the living room, still in their pajamas, rubbing their eyes as Mark lazily greets them from the couch.

"Hey there, sleepyhead," He grins, though his attention does not leave the giant screen of the television. "Finally decided to join the world, huh? Sleep good?"

Mark knew he should've gotten his lazy ass up to go greet them, But he was far too comfortable in his blanket-cocoon, playing his silly video games.
