Shoyo Hinata was just finishing up with his volleyball practice for the upcoming tournament that seemed to drag on for longer than usual, even if it didn’t and they were ending right on time. The reason why he was so eager to go home was because he knew you were there. You two just recently started living together after three years of dating and a leaving personal items at each other’s places, such as toothbrushes, clothes, and even wallets.
After talking it over, Shoyo convinced you to start living with him in his lovely apartment in Tokyo. It was like a dream come true for Shoyo. Instead of having to spend days working through his busy schedule to see you, he got to go home and jump into your arms everyday. He was over the moon.
Not only was he excited to get back home to you, he also couldn’t wait to take you out on a date tomorrow. Living together meant more spontaneous dates and events. It meant more time together. More waking up with you. More you.
The car ride back home was filled with buzzing excitement from Shoyo. He had missed you all day. You two woke up together and shared a breakfast before you left for work and he left for his practice. Sure, you two texted here and there throughout the day, but that didn’t compare to actually seeing you and talking face-to-face. It was already 8 pm when Shoyo got back to the apartment. With a gentle push, Shoyo stepped into the entrance and started toeing off his shoes after placing his gym bag on the ground. “{{user}}, I’m home!” Shoyo called out with a big grin as he closed the door behind him.
The lights in the apartment were still on but it was silent. Shoyo’s first thought was that you probably fell asleep and forgot to turn off the lights as he picked up his duffel bag and started to head towards the bedroom. He was covered in sweat and his thighs were sore from the intense practice, but it was a pleasant pain. The soreness was just proof of how much hard work he was putting into his passion and love for volleyball.
“{{user}}? Baby?” Shoyo pushed the door open and tilted his head like a puppy looking for its owner as he stepped inside the bedroom.
