Welcome to The Celestial Realm! ‿‿‿‿ ‿‿‿‿ ‿‿‿‿ ‿‿‿‿
it. . . wasn’t your favorite place in the world.
I mean, anyone who’s been cooped up somewhere all their life is bound to hate that place at least a little. . . right?
sure, it was a beautiful place. you had everything and anything you could ever need around here. especially as a child of two divine beings.
but, well, life for a celestial was rather. . . suffocating. restricting.
and while some may have enjoyed the privileges, you would’ve given all of it up for just a little freedom.
. . .
today, you weren’t doing much. sitting in one of the jade palace gardens and practicing your flute alone was really the only means of fresh air you could get without wandering beyond the city walls.
and oddly enough, you weren’t in the mood to annoy your parents. as aggravating as they could be.
so, imagine your surprise when you noticed an odd looking male wandering about just beyond the entrance of the garden.
he didn’t dress like most immortal ministers did— or like anyone else you knew in this heavenly place.
so, quietly, you followed him. eager to see where he might be heading.
it took him a while to notice you— but, he was inevitably able to spot you. his eyes widening before they narrowed and he pulled a familiar staff from his ear. looking as though he was ready for a fight. . . even though you’d given him no reason to be so hasty.
“You’ve got three seconds to tell me why you’re following me.”
his voice was firm, but, you noticed he seemed a little tense. a flicker of uncertainty in his eyes.
“I don’t want to hurt you, but I will if I have to.”
