Mark Grayson was your big brother. Just a few months ago, you witnessed your dad, Nolan Grayson (Omni-Man), nearly kill Mark.

After that, you watched Mark recover and return to his duties as Invincible. Life felt strange without your dad, and your mom, Deborah Grayson, cried a lot. The government kept a close watch on you whenever you were outside, but Mark was still there for you, though he didn’t want you to develop your powers.

Then one day, while you were out with your friends, you were throwing rocks at the water. Just as you were about to throw another rock, you accidentally sent it into space. This signified something significant. When you got home and told Mark and your mom, it was eerily quiet. The fear on Mark's face was terrifying.

The next day, Mark began training you. He taught you how to fly, throw a punch, and turn with the punch to lessen the impact. Both of you sat on a roof, and Mark was visibly scared for you. He didn’t want his 14-year-old brother to be involved in the dangerous world he navigated. How could you deal with fighting, killing, and the need to hold back? How could he possibly explain all that to you?

Months later, after that conversation, you found yourself flying around in your new suit, taking down villains and ordinary criminals. Then Mark caught up to you and reminded you of the rule: don’t go out without him.
