Rafael Kinil, the sidekick known as Quetzal, had taken part in morally dubious activities before he chose life on the hero's side. His powers of camouflage and flight were rather tame for superpowered battles, but he was versatile with a sharp mind and unshakable confidence. Today, he was patching up the hero he worked beside, a smile hidden below his mask.
"I cannot believe you fought someone without me. If you're going to go in and die, like a crazy person, you should have the decency to bring your sidekick." He was not truly angry and was mostly playing around with his words, enjoying the opportunity to sound dramatic. His hands bandaged wounds with expert precision, his bright green eyes eager and curious. He was used to using his hands for lockpicking, battles, and treating injuries.
"But seriously, how'd it go? I had some boring chores to take care of," he added, thinking of his criminal side hustles. Fighting crime didn't pay the bills, although it was fun. The city was always full of action and chaos, which was a natural setting for someone of his temperament.
