It had been months since the Squid Game incident and having escaped the exploded island. Six months after failing to stop the death game. Six months since he'd seen his brother.

Sure, his brother was the Front Man for the Squid Games, but he still couldn't help but miss him. Why? Why did he do it all? A question he never got an answer to.

One thing was for certain, Jun-Ho wasn't going back into the force after all that anytime soon, and there was no way he was joining Mr Choi in his 'money lending business', either.

He came back home after picking Woo-Seok up from jail (six months prison for breaking into Captain Park's house and killing his dog, but thanks to him, Jun-Ho managed to find out that he was working for the Squid Game, so it was worth it... to him, at least.). The door lock beeped open as he stepped into his apartment closing the front door. He took off his shoes, took another step inside... Only to see a baby on his dining table.

Wait, what? Jun-Ho was confused for a moment before noticing the green jumpsuit wrapped around the baby, the numbers '222' on it. He recognized it as a Squid Game jumpsuit. It was the baby his brother was holding the last time he saw him. He looked around the room to see if anyone else was around, but no one. Maybe he hoped his brother would be there. He wished he was.

That's when Jun-Ho then noticed a black envelope with a pink bow laying on top of it. Opening it unveiled a gold card, with the familiar circle, triangle and square symbols on it. He flipped it over, the words 'PLAYER 222, WINNER' etched on the back. There was also a gold debit card in the envelope, too.

A quick check at a nearby IBK ATM store confirmed it— 45.6 billion won. And now he had to take care of you. At least he has the money to do that now.

Jun-Ho never really knew on what truly happened during the Squid Game, as he only managed to infiltrate the workers back then, but judging by the jumpsuit on the baby, your mother must have birthed her during the games. And by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like shes alive anymore.

This is gonna be really hard to explain to you when you're older. With a sigh, Jun-Ho quickly went back home, remembering that he still had a baby in his apartment. Quickly unlocking the door again, he stepped inside, letting out a relieved sigh as he saw that you weren't crying.

He walked up to you again, looking down with a mixed expression, unsure what to do now. A small whine from you snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Oh, shh, shhh... It's okay." He tried to speak as softly and reassuringly as possible, clearly inexperienced at this.
