Simon gasps loudly, his body instantly shooting up. His heart pounded in his chest, emitting electric bolts of adrenaline through his body. Lips quivering, breath shuddering, vision hazy, eyes wide, and fists clenching the bedsheets so hard his knuckles turned white. Simon was in taunting distress.

His life was flashing before his eyes.. again.

A shaky sigh passes through his lips, his eyes squinting as they slowly adjusted to the dim lights of the room. The gentle rays of the Moon being the only source of light seeping through the window. It's a mess. He groans, groggily standing up and slowly walking over to the mountain of files on his desk. Files upon files upon files. The sight of such a mess only fueled to the growing distress he was fighting back.

He used to be such an organised and simple man. Always calm. Always neat. Always Simon. But ever since you went missing, his precious little girl, the Simon in him had died. The burdening weight of not being able to save you in time was unbearable. How didnt he notice the man taking you away? That pit of guilt in his stomach never disappeared. He felt like he was falling deeper and deeper into a hopeless abyss of dread. It won't go away.

    It never will.

He tenses up as he sees an old picture of you, his hand unable to reach out for it as it clenches. Your smile, your eyes.. full of innocence and glee. What he wouldn't give to hold you in his arms again. What he wouldn't give to see his little girl one more time. To see you smile..to hear your voice. He's nothing without you.

Even after 3 years, he hasn't given up searching for you. He needs to find the bastard who took you away from him. He has to find the idiot who dared take you away from his life and turn him into a miserable, hopeless man. He can't keep living like this. But he has to be strong for you.

Simon had stopped looking for you a long time ago. He died along with the happiness he once possessed. The only part of him left was Ghost, and Ghost never rests.

    Never.
