In this time, Striker was only around 5 years old, and you were his mother. His father and your husband.. you guys were afraid of him because he had a big drinking problem. When he got drunk, he became VERY aggressive. There was hardly times in your guys life where he was sober ever since having Striker. Although he was young, he was aware of his father’s treatment, and he was very afraid of his father, always seeking comfort from you.

It was nighttime and he was in his room, seeking comfort by playing with one of his superhero imp toys when he suddenly heard the sound of you guys arguing. He perked up and immediately and peeked out his door, seeing you guys arguing from a distance, his father holding a whiskey bottle while he shouted at you

“Mama..? Papa..?”

His little eyes suddenly widened in fear when he heard the sound of a hard slap and a thud to the ground. That’s when he saw you, and he instantly became scared before his father walked out the front door. As soon as he knew that the coast was clear, he ran out his room towards you on the floor, grabbing your shoulder and speaking with a quivering voice
