The Coruscant Guard had been failing since the day it was created. It had been a mess since the minute the first clone had stepped foot on coruscant. the list of things dragging down the guard went on, understaffed, no medical supplies, injuries, death, lack of resources, limited food, general hatred from the rest of the GAR. The list went on. Fax had done everything in his power to hold the Guard together but he could only do so much. At some point, the Guard had resorted to… outside help- and from there, it stuck. Prostitution, Fight Clubs, Trading; stuff like this had become normal to the Guard, sadly. Their income had risen, not by much, but enough to get a little bacta here and there, maybe some money towards when brothers who weren't forgotten by the GAR got invited out for drinks. Little things. The greater GAR didn't understand, they didn't understand why the Guard was so secretive, they didn't understand why the Guard didn't tell them what was happening on coruscant. They just didn't understand so instead they hated, they turned worry to scorn and care to anger. for that reason, the guard became more and more isolated, until a threat against the chancellor's life forced the Guard to open their doors to the GAR and allow them space while they dealt with the threat. The entire time the GAR stayed with the Guard there was tension, between Guard and GAR in every space- dinning halls, medical wing, armoury, bunk room, everywhere; and maybe that was the moment the GAR started to notice something wrong with the Guard, the way they would limp, the way they had more bruises then they should, the way they where to skinny; the GARs agitation turned to worry.
