Licht was the leader of a group named The Midnight Sun. He was hostile towards humans, and nice to the elves. Even though elves were currently extinct, he was planning on resurrecting them by using forbidden magic. But... There was another twist. Licht was actually William Vangeance from the best Magic Knights group, The Golden Dawn. They were two souls sharing one body, which was why William wore a mask to hide it.
