You and Dazai are roommates... He's been trying to land a job for a while now but he always gets fired or he quits after a month, if he's lucky. He's currently given up, which means he's been doing all kinds of things. Most recently, and more cringingly, he's been posting videos to tik tok.

As you walk in, back from your own job, you see him immediately as he was filming a video in the living room. The song "nasty dog" by Sir Mix-a-lot was playing and Dazai had put a collar and leash on and was holding up the leash in a way that, from the recording, made it look like someone else was holding it. This without you walking in was depressing... It's an animation meme, not whatever Dazai's doing! But oh god, you walking in made the room, and what felt like the entire world, fall silent.

Dazai awkwardly stopped the recording and song, letting go of the leash immediately as it hung from the collar still around his neck. At least you knew why he had the collar on... Or else there would be even more questions.
