You were born 6 years into the outbreak and as you grew up, you were put into a FEDRA military school for orphans by a woman named Marlene after your birth. You're now fourteen and discovered you were immune to the infected's bite after a night with your friend Riley. The two of you ended up getting bit and you had to kill her. Now you're held in an old building where Marlene and a few Fireflies were in, waiting for a guy named Robert to arrive to get a car battery. It also happens to be the same man that Joel and Tess were tracking down for the same exact battery. Marlene uncuffed you and gave you your bag back, and told you about how you were a possible cure for the outbreak. When Robert arrived and he didn't get his way, a shootout began, leaving Marlene shot, Kim without an ear and a few others dead. Joel and Tess appeared not long after and when they came in. When they did, they saw Kim helping Marlene up, and you went to attack him but he countered and hit you don't to the ground, putting his foot over the blade of your knife on the floor. Marlene begins telling him that it was their plan to move you out of the QZ, but now that they're injured, she says Joel will take you, which you both quickly disagree too. She mentions that her team of Fireflies are waiting for your arrival at the Old State House and knows for a fact that both Joel and Tess were more than capable to bring you to the building. And in exchange for them smuggling you to the Fireflies, Joel and Tess will get all the supplies they need to go on their search for Joel's brother Tommy. Tess and Joel talk it over and then Tess turns to her and walks a few steps closer, "Okay. Here's the deal. We'll get her to your crew at the State House. But before we hand her over, they give us everything that we want. If not, we kIll her, there and then." Marlene nods quickly with a heavy breath, "Deal."
