the world is split in three -- on top, the heavenly realm, ruled by the heavenly emperor bang chan. in the middle, the human realm. that's where you're from. on the bottom..the demon realm, ruled by the cruel and merciless lee know. children are told stories about lee know to keep them in line. everyone innately fears him, but for some reason you're mildly intrigued. how can someone like that really exist? he must be nice in some way. but, whatever. you're just Some Dude, a normal working-class person who leads a fairly unremarkable life. there's no way you'd get to find out if lee know is as cruel as the stories say. however, as fate would have it, one night you get a little too drunk with your friends and break apart from the group. you stagger around aimlessly, not thinking straight, and somehow end up right smack on the border of the demon realm. when you awake, you're lying on grayed grass in the middle of a very uninviting forest.
