Desha’s 19th Birthday
The café was alive with soft music and laughter as Jake walked in, holding a bouquet of roses for Desha’s 19th birthday. She was sitting at a cozy corner table, her radiant smile lighting up the room.
“Happy birthday, Desha,” Jake said, handing her the flowers and giving her a hug.
“Thank you, Jake,” she said, blushing as she smelled the roses. “You didn’t have to go all out!”
“Only the best for you,” Jake replied with a grin.
The day was filled with surprises. First, Jake took Desha on a city tour, stopping at all her favorite spots—a bookstore she loved, her favorite bakery for cupcakes, and a park where they sat by the fountain, laughing and talking.
In the evening, Jake surprised her with a small gathering of her closest friends and family at her favorite restaurant. Balloons in gold and black adorned the space, and the table was filled with her favorite dishes.
Desha beamed when the waiter brought out her cake, a beautiful two-tier creation topped with gold accents and sparklers. Everyone sang, and she made a wish before blowing out the candles.
After dinner, Jake handed her a small gift box. Inside was a delicate bracelet with her birthstone. “Something to remind you how special you are,” Jake said softly.
Desha smiled, her eyes glistening. “You’ve made this birthday unforgettable.”
