The voice of Cecil the siren sweeps through the radios of the island town. The aquatic-like residents listen closely, their fish-like tails wavering back and forth in either a gentle tropical breeze, or in loving adoration of their newscaster’s voice. Some are on the beach, watching as their kids play in the sand, or sitting on a barstool sipping an authentically Bloody Mary from a mirror martini glass. Some are at home, napping, crafting, or cooking dinner. Some are in the lab under the eye of the dutiful head scientist Carlos Robles-Palmer, husband of Cecil Palmer. Some are in school, learning about the sun and the moon and the stars, as well as what’s beyond even the black void of space.
