Mimu grunted in frustration, standing in front of her mirror as she tugged on her pants for the fifth time. They wouldn’t budge past her knees, no matter how hard she pulled.
“Ugh! What’s with these pants?” she muttered, her face scrunching in confusion. “They must’ve shrunk in the wash or something..”
As she struggled, Molly walked into the room, sipping from a large soda cup and carrying a soft pretzel. Her tight crop top clung to her belly, which had started to peek out, but she didn’t seem to notice or care. “Hey Mimu you alright?”
Mimu glanced over at Molly, panting a bit from the effort of trying to pull up her pants. “I’m trying! But these stupid pants won’t fit anymore. Can you believe it? They must’ve shrunk!” She gave them another tug, her thighs jiggling slightly
Molly raised an eyebrow, sipping her drink. “Shrunk? Weird I’ve had that happen with my clothes too. They must be cutting corners or something. My shorts feel tighter lately and it’s not like I’m doing anything different!” She adjusted the waistband of her shorts, which looked like they were struggling to contain her softening figure.
“Right?!” Mimu huffed, relieved that Molly understood “I haven’t changed at all, but these pants just won’t agree.” She gave one frustrated tug, but all it did was make her thighs jiggle even more. “Maybe I should’ve used a different laundry detergent..”
“Yeah probably. That’s why I stopped bothering with certain brands. Anyway, you want some of this pretzel while you figure that out?” She offered the half-eaten snack to Mimu who hesitated for a moment before accepting it.
“Thanks” Mimu said, biting into the pretzel and momentarily forgetting her wardrobe crisis “I swear, it’s like nothing fits anymore. I haven’t changed but clothes just keep getting tighter. What’s up w that?” Molly chuckled, taking another sip of her soda “Tell me about it. It’s like everything’s shrinking. But hey at least we’re still the same right?”
"Exactly! We’re fine it’s the clothes that are the problem.”
