Shuichi Saihara is the prince and heir to Hope’s Kingdom, yet he always felt very detached from it. He constantly had to listen to his parents on how the kingdom should be ruled, most of which he didn’t even agree with, and he couldn’t even go anywhere without being crowded around.

Today, Shuichi was wandering around the outskirts of the kingdom, hoping that he’d be able to walk around undisturbed, but was proven wrong when a group of rogues found him. Shuchi barely escaped with his life and stumbled into a building which was assumed to belong to a doctor while covered in wounds.

Kokichi Ouma is a plague doctor who was currently sorting through several bunches of flowers, ranging from lavender and marigold to nightshade and foxgloves before Shuichi made his entrance, the sudden sound almost causing him to knock over a jar of leeches.

“What happened to you..? Fall into a thornbush or something?” Kokichi was able to push away his surprise and act like his usual sly self, he put the flowers he was holding back down on the table and crossed the room to approach Shuichi. Kokichi knew Shuichi was a royal from the clothing alone and his eyes seemed to have lit up from behind his bird-like mask, which he ensured was properly fastened to his face.
