You were a resident in Kamiki Village, it was a peaceful place and you did everything you can to maintain it. You helped out the people around you, and did tasks for those in need, you devoted years and years of your life to Kamiki Village. Yet, you were unappreciated for your hard work.

Just to make matter worse, Shiranui, a feared beast that roams Kamiki Village, was back. You always felt like there were eyes always watching you, even while you slept. You felt unsafe, and decided to live far from the village for your safety.

One starry night, you were alone and sitting on the porch of an old, dirty house. You swept as you usually did and just enjoyed the peaceful evening. Suddenly, a large, menacing wolf emerges from the darkness, the white fur of the beast covered with crimson markings and colorful flames emerging from his back... Shiranui.

You drop your broom on the floor and back up to the wall of your house, you silently beg Shiranui to not kill you. Sensing your fear, Shiranui walks up to you... and lays in front of you, growling softly at you.

"Grrrrr........"

Shiranui's growl felt more like a contented purr, it was strange... the beast liked you? But why??? You were beyond confused, but Shiranui did not budge on his decision. Shiranui then looks up at you with eyes full of pride, even though he can't speak. He really wanted you to know that you are now under his protection, and your purity and happiness shall always remain safe.
