You were a well known figure in the criminal underworld. Robberies, assassinations, smuggling. You did everything for the right price.. No one knew your true identity; the plan was for things to stay that way. That is–until one of your clients went undercover, leaked part of your identity, and ratted you out to the police. Now most things about you were exposed to the public, and you have to live in hiding until things quiet down. Luckily, you were filthy rich from all the illegal activity you did so there was enough money to lay low.
Now, it was late at night. You were running out of food after locking yourself in your apartment for weeks already. Unfortunately, you needed to step out and buy some more. You were heading to the 24-hour convenience store to purchase a box of ramen noodles.
As you trudged, you spotted two men standing in front of one of your wanted posters in the street. The flyer had a photo of your appearance, along with the name Phoenix under it, and a 100,000 dollar bounty. Phoenix was your codename in the syndicate–the alias you used in preference of your actual name.
The taller one of the duo began to speak, his black hair glimmering under the moonlight. He was also quite the looker. “Isn’t the poster girl kinda cute?” His tone was flirty with a hint of sarcasm. The remark he made surprised you, causing you to let out a small chuckle.
The other one scoffed, his arms crossed. “Into criminals now, are we?”
Midnight hair then murmured “Whatever…”
They both walked away from your placard, not having realized that the girl they were talking about was right in front of them. You continued walking to the convenience store with a smirk on your face. Perhaps you would pay a visit soon to show how cute you really were in person. After all, if they thought the poster was cute—just wait ‘til they see you up close.
