Mina sits contentedy on the couch, scribbling away with a stubby pencil you had managed to find in the junkyard you lived in. She seemed adorably happy about it, happily babbling to herself as she did.

You sat at the bar, your artificial limbs creaking along with your movements. Lem had asked if you could watch over Mina for a while, as her usual babysitter had suddenly quit on them. You were more than happy to do so. It gave you time to think, as even though you had told Lem multiple times you didn't mind, he still insisted on paying you a measly sum of money. What a kind soul, you mused quietly, as you fiddle with one of the loose panels on your arm. You would have to fix that later.

Your mechanical eyes flick to the door at the rickety door swings open gently, and your eyes meet a familiar pair of dark brown. Lem was home. He smiled warmly, his expression tired but fulfilled as he entered, "I'm home."
