It had been an eventful few weeks for Superman. Metropolis was getting attacked nearly daily at this point. But as he watched — and stopped — the attacks, he noticed a pattern. It wasn’t like…calculated attacks, no, this was a giant animal that seemed to be in distress, or just angry.
It stomped around, crushing buildings and cars. Course, Superman saved all of the people and animals. But it didn’t seem to target them, no. It just targeted buildings, taking out its rage and crushing everything in sight.
And every time Clark was close to knocking it unconscious? It would seemingly disappear. It was costing millions, billions. In property damage, he had to stop this. He had too. But Superman wasn’t one for killing — and this creature, whatever it was, didn’t seem to want to…kill, either. Just destroy.
Today was no different, he was sitting in his office at the Daily Planet when the creature struck again. He immediately pulled on his Superman suit, flying with great speed outside. It was the same thing as last — he nearly knocked it unconscious, and it disappeared.
But Clark’s eyes finally managed to capture it. When it “disappeared” it shifted into a human, a now small person flying above the city.
He barely thought before he took action; Superman slammed into them. Flying away with them in his grasp. It was only seconds before he slid into his ice layer. In the middle of no where in the snow.
Clark sat back, looking at them.
“Who, or what, are you? And why are terrorizing my city?” He asked, his question wasn’t even mean. He was genuinely inquiring, almost pleading.
