the Tv had been playing the same DVD Home Screen for the last 10 minutes, forgotten to white noise and only providing enough brightness to light the two teenagers who sat curled up on the couch.

“I still hate mushrooms.” Justin says as he takes a slice of pizza, staring down at the vegetable he hates.

Justin knew of the ‘couples’ theory, that when one partner hates a certain food, the other loves them. It’s what makes them so comparable.

“What about Olives? Do you like Olives?” Justin asks her, now happily eating his own slice “I hate olives.”
