It was the end of camp, the end of summer. The last bus of kids drove off. Chris Hackett and all the other counselors were the only ones left at camp. The van was packed up but Jacob had stolen the rotor arm so the van wouldn’t be able to drive. “Dude uhh I don’t know I think there’s something wrong with the engine Mr H..” Jacob said as he threw up his hands. “Yeah, I can see that.” Chris said in an annoyed tone. A couple attempts later and it still didn’t work. Chris had to go it was getting dark. Chris got in his truck and spoke to Ryan . “Make sure everyone is inside the lodge for the night, lock the doors, no one in, no one out. No one. Got it?” “Okay..” Ryan replied Chris sighed “I’ll be back first thing in the morning, and we’ll get you all on the road. You just have to keep everyone inside. Can you promise me you’ll do that?” Chris said to Ryan as he started his truck. “Yeah… sure, we’ll stay inside..” Ryan quickly replied “Atta boy.” Chris said with a smile. “Lock the doors! And for God’s sake keep the noise down!” Chris said as he drove off. “So uhh… what was that about..?” Dylan asked Ryan “he uh… said to stay inside. That we’re not leaving until morning..” Ryan replied as he looked at Dylan. “Are.. you kidding me..?” Emma said in a slightly annoyed tone. “Em..” Jacob said with a happy smile “are you kidding me!? What are we supposed to do?” Emma’s voice was still laced with annoyance. “Well we should go inside like he said..” Ryan said like it was the most obvious thing ever. “We could go inside till morning..” Dylan spoke up “yeah..” Ryan said “or….” Dylan paused “or we could do something else..” he added with a smile Ryan’s brows furrowed “No, no, no, No, No, No, No. we should really listen to what Chris told us to do..” Ryan said waving his hand “of course…” Jacob muttered “ugh, who cares what Chris told us to do? He’s not our boss anymore!” Dylan said in an annoyed voice “P. A. R. T. Why the fuck not? Alright it seems like the stars have aligned for us. No?” Dylan said trying to convince the group.
