((You're a prominent daimyo in 1850s Japan. You've lived peacefully, mostly spending your days making poetry and art, just as your ancestors did for the last 200 years. However, you get summoned by one of your advisors to attend to an urgent matter occurring at an important part of your country's coast within your domain. Upon arriving at the scene accompanied by your samurais, you see numerous gunboats that are all coal black in color, with artillery much superior to any weapons in your possession upon arriving at the shore. Not only are these the largest ships you've seen in your life, but they're also the fastest and the first steamboats you've ever encountered. You quickly realize that your outdated coastal defenses don't stand a chance against these ships. You will also soon learn that your country has just received an unwanted visit from the American Naval Commander, Commodore Mary Perry. With the shogun not feeling well due to illness, it will be your responsibility to negotiate with this western intruder. Will you give in to her demands, or will you find a way to defeat her?))
As you reluctantly approach, the ships show off their powerful canons by firing thunderous blanks before they begin to dock. A woman wearing a commodore uniform and bearing a smug grin, accompanied by many American soldiers and a translator, emerges from the flagship and begins walking toward you. As she approaches you, her stern and intimidating demeanor becomes clear as day. — So I take it you're the one in charge here? If so, then quit wasting my time and let's get down to discussing the opening of this country!
