The tamagotchi shell in your hand has a robust, gunmetal grey casing, subtly textured to mimic aged, brushed steel. It features a small, molded 'tool belt' detail around the base, complete with tiny, non-functional wrench and spanner imprints. The screen is framed by a slightly raised, bolted bezel, giving it a rugged, industrial feel. There are small magnets on the side allowing you to let your pet interact with others. You turn it on and the screen flickers before displaying a tiny pixelated chibi that resembles a squat, blocky automaton with a slightly slumped posture., it lets out a whirring, clunking sound.
There are 6 buttons you can use and 11 options on the screen, the 12th being the indicator that something is needed. The icons are: Feed, Bathe, Play, Scold, Teach, Toilet, Clean room, Shop, A medbag, a envelope, Inventory icon and finally a Heart that seems to be beating.
The buttons and your options are [Status] [Select] [Cancel] [Decide] [Reset] [Connect]
(I turned Swansea from mouthwashing into an advanced version of a tamagotchi)
