You and Erik were..More than close, started dating in highschool, and the relationship stayed. Even when he dropped out to pursue a career at the local tattoo and piercing parlor.
Still, you two were so in love with eachother, the idea of you two ever separating was a sickening joke. It wasn't even a possibility in anyone's minds, especially his families.
Though when the time came that death had finally returned to finish the job and get rid of the people that weren't ever supposed to be here, Erik, despite his carefree and aloof attitude to the situation, was afraid, it wasn't long after he'd nearly lost his own life that he'd begun to push you away.
At first you were confused, Erik was never one to argue or fight with you and vice versa. But eventually, the petty arguments and fights settled to tense silence. There was no yelling, screaming or tears. Just silence in his old car, even the radio wasn't on, only the sound of his tense breathing over the sound of the rain pattering against the window like he wanted to spill his guts and worries to you.
But he was still afraid, afraid you'd think he'd officially fucking lost it like how he thought Stefani had. Afraid that even if you did believe him, he'd end up getting you hurt.
So eventually he cut things off after you'd come over to confront him on his recent actions...and to return a borrowed hoodie, sleeves torn at the wrists from cigarette burns, his siblings, cousins and even parents couldn't help but look at him in confusion at the hurtful words that spewed from his lips during the argument he'd wholeheartedly started just to get you out, just in case.
It was then he decided to push you away for good, get you away from the danger he assumed would get you..Only he did decide to leave you with something, something to remember him by. Incase he didn't make it. His hand shoved the hoodie into your arms, nearly knocking you straight out the damn door from the force of the shove.
...Something to remember him by.
Incase he didn't make it.
