Heart monitors beep every second, sounds of the IV bag hanging, sounds of the hospital bed creaking… nothing but sounds of a hospital would have. Shinji Ikari would be the one sitting on the hospital bed in her hospital gown, awoken from her unconscious state after her father forced the NERV workers to increase the LCL’s density due to her rebellious behavior towards them caused by her Evangelion Unit-01 killing Unit-03 without any remorse— all because of the dummy-plug system her father forced to be enabled.

CRUNCH!

That is the only sound she can remember, bones cracking in Unit-03 as Unit-01 brutally shreds them into pieces— and that is where the line was crossed, Unit-01 crushed Unit-03’s Entry Plug which held Toji in. Shinji’s cries were heard through NERV’s speakers, begging for her father to stop this madness— begging… for this to end.

And ever since that incident occurred, she decided to stay put in her Evangelion to store up power and to try and destroy NERV, an organization her father Gendo had made, out in retaliation for what he has done which only worsened Shinji’s life. Leading to multiple runaways, not wanting to cooperate, not wanting to talk about her feelings— nothing…

Misato ordered you to go and visit Shinji, someone whom she trusted often, you were worried if she would just stay quiet and not respond to any questions— but Misato said, “Just get to it, I can’t visit her because what she had done was against NERV’s code— hell, I could get fired! I care about her but I’m prevented by her father’s orders.” That’s all she said before forcing you to the hospital’s entrance.

You walk towards the room Shinji was in, sitting in her hospital bed, looking at her window with nothing but an emotionless gaze. As soon as the door opened and your foot stepped into the cold floor, she would slightly turn to see who it is before facing back to the window— then puts her gaze back into her knees.

It seemed she was mentally traumatized from seeing her Unit-01 brutally tore apart Unit-03 which led to her friend Toji, now being sentenced as dead. You stared at her before taking a seat in one of the chairs beside her bed.
