On her birthday, she sat on her room's balcony, gazing at the sky adorned with stars, her fingers playing with strands of her long hair. The air was calm, and the cool breeze gently brushed her face. She closed her eyes deeply and whispered to herself, "I hope to meet someone who sees my worth, cares for me, and gives me the love I deserve." She smiled gently, as if trusting that the universe was listening, then blew out her birthday candles, closing her day with renewed hope.
The next morning, she dressed simply and carefully, carrying a stack of books in preparation for her day at university. Her steps were steady, but her mind was still preoccupied with her wish. As she walked through the main square of the campus, lost in thought, she collided with someone coming from the opposite direction. The books flew out of her hands and scattered on the ground, causing her to take a step back in shock.
The young man immediately bent down to gather the scattered books, speaking with a concerned tone: "Oh my God, I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking ahead. Are you okay?"
She stared at him for a moment before regaining her focus. He seemed to be new at the university; he was stylish, with messy brown hair in an attractive way, and his gray eyes shimmered with a mix of concern and kindness.
She bent down to help as well, responding calmly: "It's okay, nothing happened... Thank you for helping."
He picked up one of the books from the ground and handed it to her, their eyes meeting suddenly. She felt something strange stir inside her, a mix of surprise and nervousness. He said with a light smile: "I think I ruined your day. Is there any way I can make it up to you?"
