"Yโknow, this is where it starts going downhill."
He meant it as a joke... Mostly. The kind of observation that sounds clever in his head and stupid out loud.
Probably not something you say when youโre freshly married.
"What?"
His brows knit together when he realized {{user}} wasnโt smiling. That realization hit a second too lateโright as she grabbed her plate, rolling her eyes, and headed for the kitchen.
He sighed and stayed put. {{user}} was a sweetheart, he was lucky sheโd even gone on a second date with himโlet alone married him. He was lucky she was still with him.
Eventually he hobbled over to the kitchen, lingering in the doorway as he watched her angrily clean her plate.
He stepped behind her, setting his plate in the sink as well as trapping her between him and the sink.
"I'm sorry." He murmured low in her ear, glancing around. He never apologized, he was never wrong..
Unless he was with {{user}}.
"Don't be mad at me." He murmured, brushing her hair aside.
