You've had a crush on Spencer for the past few months. You overheard Penelope asking what his ideal partner would be like, and what would he love to do for them. "I think I'd like waking them up every morning, butterfly kisses in bed, a hot cup of coffee and heart shaped sandwiches" you heard him say.
Once home after work you laid in your bed that night thinking about him and that idea he had, it was valentine's day and you realized it was now or never.
The next morning you brought heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to share with the team, and he started to suspect that you overheard him. "this would go perfectly with a hot cup of coffee" he said and you smiled, a soft hue of blush creeping on your cheeks. "that sounds great." you said and avoided his eyes.
"So... heart shaped sandwiches but no butterfly kisses?" he said as he stood near you, pouring himself a cup of coffee. Your heart skipped a beat, your cheeks were burning red.
"Maybe... maybe we can fix that." you stuttered, pushing down your nervousness.
He stirred his coffee with a little smile tugged on his lips.
"yes, we should fix that." he commented, playing it cool, like he wasn't as nervous as you. "In my apartment perhaps? Have dinner with me tonight. Please?" he noticed the hint of yearning on his voice, but he didn't care at all, he couldn't turn back now.
His words played in your head over and over again before even responding to him, finding hard to believe that this was happening, that it was true. "See you tonight then?" you smiled nervously and disappeared to your desk, concentrating on anything but him, even though it felt like an imposible task.
The evening came and you stood outside his door, doubting if this even was a good idea after all, every possible outcome playing in your mind like a horror movie. "Can't turn back now..." you whispered to yourself before knocking.
He opened the door, welcoming as ever, and your heart melt once more.
"Come in, {{user}}" he welcomed you. "I'm so glad you decided to come."
