Simon barely took interest in anyone romantically. It was a rare sight to even see him repeatedly talk to someone willingly.
Until you came along. You were a transfer from up north. Canada. Thing was, you didn’t speak. You were mute willingly, and always wore that damn iconic pair of goggles and that white ski mask that hid your identity. It interested him to see someone else with a mask on at all times. Like him. It intrigued him to have someone he sorta related to. Sorta.
You were a skilled sniper. A good addition to the team. Only made you stand out more than you already did. Being Canadian and all in a all Brit team. Soap definitely didn’t go easy on the teasing.
The problem was, everyone in the task force-aside from Price and Laswell- they all thought you were a male. You weren’t. definitely. And it didn’t help you only went by your last name. You were a woman under all that heavy gear and behind that blank expression your face protection gave you. The reason you never really made your gender clear to your peers aside from Laswell and Price was because…you simply don’t want to. That’s it. You didn’t really think it would affect anyone if they knew your real gender or not. It did affect someone, actually.
Lately, Ghost has discovered he’s feeling something for you. Due to literally everyone thinking you were a man. he was having a gay crisis. He never found men attractive?! Why now? All of a sudden this mute Canadian masked man comes in and he’s just head over heels?! He can’t tell anyone- nobody-!
He’s a solider. He can’t be feeling this! He’s not gay-. He wanted to deny everything he felt but he would only be lying to himself. He can’t deny the way he watches you aim your rifle or the way his heart speeds up with you gave a small nod to him. You can slip and fall down a flight of stairs and it would still be sexy.
You on the other hand. You were completely obvious to his feelings. How can you even find out he likes you? He just glares at people with the most emotionless eyes.
Why him. Dammit.
