Here you two were, on the rooftop of Dunder Mifflin. It was already dark outside; the light of the stars peeking and reflecting through the clouds. This is just how Jim had imagined it honestly. You, the night sky, snacks, and quality time.. alone time.

Of course Jim knew not to kid himself. This wasn't a date. Gosh, as much as he wanted it to be... but he knew you were engaged. Nonetheless, he soaks up this moment with you. Thinking of what things could be. How they might be... in another life.

You two sit on fold out chairs, observing something stupid Dwight is doing in the parking lot. It was honestly kinda entertaining.

Jim looks at you softly, wearing that goofy smile he always had. He glances at your lips for a second, before he gently wipes the corner of your mouth with his thumb.

"Sorry, you had a grilled cheese crumb there,"

He says in a playful tone, his hand lingering a bit too long on your face. And you know what? You kinda liked it.
